Tess Ellis, President.
Tess founded Break Trail Strategies in 2016, after decades of helping companies become more efficient, improve communications, and implement the processes, procedures, and strategies needed to succeed over the long term.
Her recent consulting work includes:
- Completing a business analysis of a Colorado University's HR Department
- Managing a $3M grant submission for a telecommunications company
- Managing the proposal response to an RFP for tax credits for low income and accessible housing developments
Tess has successfully turned around struggling divisions and programs, implemented new systems, managed multi-million dollar contracts, and developed and implemented strategies for national organizations. She combines the rare ability to define an overarching vision and execute the technical and detailed requirements to achieve that vision.
Tess earned her Executive MBA from George Washington University and her B.A. in Literature from American University, both in her home town of Washington, D.C.
When not working with clients, Tess is the President of the World Affairs Challenge, an educational nonprofit helping middle and high school students in and around Colorado develop critical global leadership skills.
Or she could be in the mountains, because...Colorado!
